Funding Announcement (February 2024)

Image
Further to the project I announced last year in May, the same project is now live on Indiegogo. For those of you wondering, this project is a short documentary about the impact of lockdown, particularly on mental health. The documentary will feature personal stories, subtle humour, and interviews with medical experts. The plan is to raise the target for crew expenses, festival submissions, and travel costs to interview a family in Gloucestershire who lost a young man to suicide during lockdown. As stated, this project is up on Indiegogo . All donations given will be appreciated, but even if you can't contribute financially, spreading the word via social media, publicly and wherever else will be equally appreciated. Thank you for your support.

New Project Announcement (May 2023)

However, because there are a number of people whose mental health was affected by the lockdown and who have not had a chance to give their say, I believe that now's the time to knuckle down on this documentary. This should provide the opportunity for people to speak out; those who've not been used to staying 24/7 in their own homes, who were bullied on social ...

Save My Mind

Hello, once again. So via my last post, I mentioned that I was moving house. Well, now I have, I'm settling in fine and I'm back. And of course, I make it mandatory for myself to post something at least once a month. As this week is Mental Health Awareness week, I want to share you guys a project I was recently involved in; a documentary which is about the different aspects of mental health. It's called Save My Mind. It's been produced and directed by a local filmmaker named Shalina Casey. Do feel free to take a look. I must point out that there are some elements of the film which some viewers may find distressing. It's been great to work with Shalina on this project and I think it's awesome that she's shown some determination in allowing the participants of this documentary to talk about their experiences. One of them has got anxiety, another suffers from depression. Mental health has increased a lot in relevancy ever since the lockdown, which even I mysel...
